This plant room fit out was undertaken during the winter months at a large temperature controlled pharmaceutical site. The site operates at critical temperature 24/7 allowing for only a few degrees in temperature fluctuation throughout the entire site.
The existing aged oil boilers were removed and new Hoval UltraGas boilers were installed requiring significant pipework modification involving complex positional welding.
The existing chimney was removed, and a new flue chimney was erected to accommodate the new gas boilers.
The existing oversized hot water calorifiers were replaced with suitably sized, high recovery Hamworthy Powerstocks, further reducing energy consumption.
A new gas main was installed both above and below ground.
Numerous crane lifts were required for the installation of the boilers, flues and gas main.
